SDH,DWDM etc for both Access as well
as backbone networks.
For e.g FIBCOM 6320 Edge Node includes
tributary cards with STM1 interfaces
which can be setup to carry full payload,but
they can also be setup to carry 1/3rd
of the full STM-1 payload.This is an
advantage in situations where a node
distributes traffic to many smaller
nodes.Reduced payload may be especially
advantageous for leased lines,where
the operator gets the benefit of a fully
SDH managed STM-1 line,while saving
in capacity.
